University of Wisconsin, Madison to Lead National Bioenergy Initiative
Wisconsin will soon light the way to energy independence, thanks to a $125 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. UW-Madison announced plans for the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, where UW scientists will work in partnership with two other universities to develop methods of converting plants into renewable liquid fuels. 125 mpg Plug In Toyota Prius!
The bar has been raised yet again. Lithium Technology Corporation out of Pennsyvania has released a new line of lithium batteries that are “…the answer the automotive industry has been searching for.” according to their website. New Solar Roof for the Toyota Prius!
A company called Solar Electric Vehicles has put out what Prius owners have been waiting for: a solar roof panel. It apparently costs about $2000-4000 and will pay for itself in 2-3 years.
